The International Cricket Council’s (ICC) meme game has been strong and in their latest social media post, they reimagined top cricketers as characters of the DC Universe with the likes of Virat Kohli becoming Aquaman, Ben Kane Williamson Superman, Ellyse Perry Wonder Woman, Ben Stokes as Batman, Babar Azam as The Flash and Kieron Pollard as Cyborg along with the caption United the League – a smart world play on Zack Snyder’s Justice League set to release this month.

Naturally, the post received a lot of traction and comments and the fans took a cue from the original tweet and made their own versions, imagining cricketers as superheroes, not just limiting to the DC universe, but bringing in the Marvel universe. There was some banter as well with Indian fans and Pakistan fans going at each other over the inclusion of Babar Azam while many were miffed not to see Risbabh Pant as Marvel superhero Spiderman in the original tweet.
