    When I make Hungarian chicken or Jambalaya I always brown the chicken before hand but mostly cook it in the tomato based sauce. Always comes out nice, but use dark meat, not white.

    Groce. At least use rose sauce, if not alfredo. Marinara with chicken, no thanks. Closest I can think of is cacciatore, but that's different.

    Never tried it with tomato sauce but I have dumped a bottle of Italian dressing over chicken in the crockpot. Always turns out delicious.

    Same thing with Greek yogurt, crockpot shawarma is the GOAT.
