Manchu Vishnu’s ‘Mosagallu’ trading in dollars

Manchu Vishnu returned to the silver screen in Telugu after a long gap. He has pinned great hopes on the explosive action drama Mosagallu that will hit theaters on Friday. Mosagallu tells the story of a middle-class family.

Tanikella Bharani is a man who stands by his philosophy of leading a loyal life and wants his children Arjun (Vishnu Manchu) and daughter (Kajal Aggarwal) to take on the qualities. Vishnu, a BTech graduate, works for an outsourcing company that helps U.S. citizens with product inquiries.

And the meager 20,000 Rs is not enough for him to run the family. His technical knowledge helps him to earn extra money. Using loopholes, he steals the personal credentials of his clients in the US and sells them on the dark web.

His boss Vijay (Navdeep) secretly watches him and unveils a bigger plan for Vishnu to earn dollars for a lifetime. And so the team of loyal staff, including Vishnu’s sister Kajal, come on board to work seriously on the scam. Now Navdeep has the idea of reconciling American citizens in the name of taxation.

The team starts at random and fiddles at the beginning to convince the callers. Siddu (Naveen Chandra), who is involved in some crimes and also an expert in dealing with illegal activities, is added to the team. The experience allows them to devise more infrastructure, tactfully competent and smart work staff to handle things.

The collaboration of the three – Vishnu, Navdeep and Kajal – therefore makes millions of dollars in a much less time. The money is transferred to India in the form of hawala. And gradually the team expands business with better infrastructure and steps forward. With the meteoric leap in the collection of illegal wealth, these soldiers evade arrest by U.S. police.

And a tip from an employee at Interpol makes the story more gripping. Mosagallu, one of the high-budget films directed by Hollywood filmmaker Jeffrey Gee Chin, made a lot of noise with promotional activities a week before its release.

Actor Manchu Vishnu also explained how he invested his heart and soul, in addition to crowns of rupees, for making it. Conman dramas with IT scams usually deliver a lead on the seat with a tight script.

The manufacturers here, however, could have paid a little attention to the text rather than concentrating on technical magic and style of production. Cliched dialogue writing and knock-around-the-bush conversations, connected series would test the viewers ’patience. The action records involving some fights are remarkable because some technicians have been working on it. Sheldon Chau’s cinematography is the best.
