BTS not getting a Grammy was already disheartening for the ARMY. There has been a lot of discrimination against the K-pop boy band across the globe. They have been trashed, called out, passed racists comments on and more. However, the BTS has remained undeterred. However, the ARMY won't be taking up anything against BTS and make sure that the septet gets all the love and respect they deserve. So, recently, Topps had issued the Shammy Awards cards wherein they gave a satirical spin on the celebs and the newsmakers from the Grammy event. The cards featured Harry Styles, Billie Eiish, BTS and several other celebs. However, what upset the ARMY was the way BTS were represented in the card. Talking about which, the Garbage Pail Kids' card for BTS read, "BTS Bruisers" It featured the septet heavily bruised and battered as though being hit by the Grammy trophy. Given the Stop Asian Hate campaign that's been going on for a while, the card's representation of BTS mightily upset the ARMY as none other artists in the cards pack had been represented in such a graphic manner. They called The Topps Company out on the same and demanded an apology. Also Read - BTS: Jungkook treats his bandmates to a lavish dinner post his graduation

Billboards who had shared an affiliate link of the Garbage Pail Kids pack featuring BTS were also slammed. BTS took down their tweet. The graphic designer identified as Chris Meeks had also shared the card but soon deleted seeing the backlash it received. He hasn't yet commented or issued an apology for the same. However, seeing the backlash and the rising momentum of Stop Asian Hate, The Topps Company issued an apology to the fans and BTS. They assured them that the cards won't be printed or available for download. "We hear and understand our consumers who are upset about the portrayal of BTS in our GPK [Garbage Pail Kids] “Shammy Awards” product and we apologize for including it. We have removed the BTS sticker card for the set, we have not printed any of the sticker card, and it will not be available," the statement read.
