In the last five days, the seven-day average of daily affairs has been increasing by five percent every day. During this period, the growth rate of infection was 5.2 percent, 5.8 percent, 6.6 percent, 7.4 percent, and 8.7 percent.

Prior to this, between 19-22 May last year, the rate of spread of infection for four days was seen at five percent. Apart from this, the death rate of the corona is also increasing, although the rate of infection in mortality is not as fast it is still worrying.

150 people died in the last 24 hours

On Thursday, 154 patients died due to corona in the country. The average figure of daily deaths from corona rose to 150 on Thursday. This is the first time since 23 January. Mumbai is getting the highest number of cases in Maharashtra. In the last 24 hours, there were 2,877 cases in Mumbai. This figure is the highest since October 10, 2020.

At the same time, daily cases of corona are increasing in Punjab. At the same time, corona cases are also increasing rapidly in Chandigarh. After 28 November, there was a spurt in corona cases in Karnataka. In the last 24 hours, 1,488 new cases were reported in Karnataka. At the same time, more than one thousand cases were reported in Chhattisgarh.

160 a day, new strains found in 400 patients so far

Cases of the new form of the virus spread around the world are also increasing in India. New strains have been confirmed in 160 people in one day. These include three strains of Britain, Brazil, and South Africa. In India, eight new strain patients were found in December. So far, new strains have been confirmed in 400 patients.
