Sri Lanka legends beat South Africa, will meet Sachin Tendulkar’s India in finals on Sunday- It will be two Asian teams who will be going against each other on the nights of the finals on Sunday. Sachin Tendulkar’s men will face Tillakaratne Dilshan’s men on Sunday for the final match of Road Safety Tournament 2021.
Sri Lanka Legends emerged victorious in the semi-finals after thumping the South African Legends by 8 wickets.
Without much worry, Sri Lanka chased down the paltry total of 126 runs with still 16 more balls left in play. Chinthaka Jayasinghe’s quick 47* made things easy for Sri Lanka.
Courtesy to some brilliant bowling performances from the Lankan Legends, South Africa Legends limped to 125 runs in their quota of 20 overs.
Only Morne van Wyk was amongst runs with a fifty to his name. Whereas it was Nuwan Kulasekara who did the major damage with the ball by scalping 5 wickets.

SL-L vs SA-L Live Score: He won his seventh toss of the tournament, something India captain Virat Kohli could borrow. “Everything has been going out way. We will bowl first. We know we have a strong batting line-up, so I am happy to chase. We had a 5-day break between games. We spent nice time together, played some tennis ball cricket in the hotel. Everyone is fit, Jayasuriya is back,” Dilshan said.
Jonty Rhodes said he would have bowled first as well. But he will be eager to put up a good score. “We would have bowled. The weather slightly different. If we can put up runs on the board and put them under pressure we are in with a great chance. Our strength is bowling good lengths. Grateful to get that extra day,” he said.
Led by Dilshan, Sri Lanka Legends will take on South Africa Legends, led by Rhodes, in the 2nd semifinal of the Road Safety World Series.
SL Legends finished second in the league stage with 20 points, only behind India Legends on net run rate. South Africa Legends finished third with 16 points.
