PANCHKULA: After vaccinating over 5,000 beneficiaries in a day, the
Panchkula administration will hold a massive vaccination drive at 44 centres on March 22.
The prime motive is to cover all the beneficiaries of Panchkula. Anganwadi and national health mission workers are also visiting door-todoor in urban and rural slum areas to encourage people to get vaccinated.
The first such drive was carried out on March 15 at 42 centres across the district. District immunisation officer Dr Meenu Sassan said a total of 5,839 persons have been vaccinated under the first massive drive. Around 1,094 persons between 45 years and 59 years with co-morbidities, 3,886 elderly above 60 years of age, 297 healthcare workers and 562 frontline workers were vaccinated on a single day.
This will be a special drive to cover people between 45 years and 59 years with co-morbidities and those above 60 years of age. The CMO has also taken out a list of 44 special health centres for mega vaccination drive.
