5 Things You Should Watch on Netflix After 'Marriage or Mortgage'

If you're anything like us, you probably spent most of last weekend on the couch binge-watching Marriage or Mortgage. The show's Love It or List It vibes combined a little host-to-host competition with 10 heartwarming stories of couples who can't decide if they should spend their limited budget on a gorgeous, dream wedding, or a home where they can continue to grow their love.

Unfortunately, Marriage or Mortgage has yet to be renewed (if we had to guess, we'd say a Season 2 will come in time—the show has been in Netflix's Top 10 and has been praised by Twitter users, too.) And once you've fallen into the wedding rabbit hole, it's incredibly easy to get lost there. Luckily, Netflix has a few other reality shows that will quench your thirst for all things wedding and homeownership-related.

Including Netflix's upcoming wedding series The Wedding Coach, here are the programs you should tune into next.

Say I Do

Eliminate the idea of homeownership completely and Say I Do is pretty similar to Marriage or Mortgage. The reality wedding planning series, which is reminiscent of Queer Eye with its supportive, optimistic hosts, spotlights the dream weddings of couples who never thought they'd have their perfect wedding day—be it because of finances or past wedding disasters. It's the definition of a feel-good show, and not one you want to miss if you're craving something sweet.

Love Is Blind

Chances are you've already seen Love is Blind, the monumental reality show concept that forces two people to get engaged before they can see what the other looks like. For a handful of the Season 1 couples, the series ended with real marriages. It was praised by reality show lovers everywhere for being so innovative and was already renewed for seasons 2 and 3. It's unlike any other reality show, and worth a first or second watch.

The Big Day

Another reality series focuses on weddings, but with a twist. The Big Day spotlights six couples ready to tie the knot with traditional, Indian weddings. Known for extravagance and large expenses, the beautiful weddings might be considered over-the-top to some and unforgettable to others. It's sure to wow you and have you dreaming about your own wedding day.

The Wedding Coach

Netflix's latest reality series will air on April 7 with a hilarious twist. Comedian Jamie Lee hosts The Wedding Coach and will be joined by a different guest comedian each episode to help stressed couples make it down the aisle. Wedding planning is definitely not a relaxing activity, but Lee will try her best to bring the couples' attention to what really matters about the big days.

Dream Home Makeover

Want to forget the wedding part entirely? There's plenty of home content on Netflix, too. Dream Home Makeover is Netflix's own version of an HGTV renovation show. A couple, Shea and Syd McGee (who have a giant design following on Instagram), work with clients to meet all of their dream-home design goals on any budget. It's a great series to cozy up with and plan your own renovations.
