Parineeti Chopra has been garnering praises for her amazing transformation as Saina Nehwal as she steps into badminton player's shoes to play her role in the biopic. While the promo has raised our curiosity for the sports drama, the makers have dropped a pic from the film, where we see Parineeti leaving us awestruck with her uncanny resemblance to the badminton champ and catching her small nuances. Speaking about the preparation, Parineeti recently said in a statement, "Badminton is the fastest racket sport in the world. You need some serious skills to play an Olympian and I realized that on my very first day on court. There have been days I've cried on court, there have been times I've said 'I can't do this' but then my mind flashes with the image of the millions of people who are going to watch this and that would make me get up." Earlier in an interview, Parineeti Chopra had expressed her excitement to be a part of such a project. Pari had said, "I am actually quite excited to get into the character of Saina, get into the skin of a world champion because playing a fictional character might not have been as exciting as playing a real character. Here, I have somebody who has extensive documentation on exactly how she plays, who she played every match in her life. Every single moment that she has ever played badminton is on screen! So, to kind of imbibe that and to kind of learn that is really exciting for me as an actor. I wanted to do a sports biopic for a long time so this project is absolutely perfect!" Directed by Amole Gupte, the film is set to hit the screens on March 26.
