6th webinar series on ' Career opportunity in IT Industry '

KEN (Knowledge Exchange Network) and NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology), Imphal jointly organized the 6th webinar of KEN entitled 'Career opportunity in IT Industry' on 13 March 2021 for the student from Institutes in Manipur such as NIELIT, NIT, DM University, South East Manipur College, Manipur University, Navodaya Vidyalaya and Moreh College etc.

Dr. Yumnam Jayanta Singh, KEN member and Director NIELIT Guwahati, shared the objective of KEN as to support the career planning of the youths through knowledge transfer and skilling.

He gave a brief survey report on Mission NE 2020 and highlights the benefits of exiting and coming up IT Parks, SEZ, Industry 4.0 practices, Future Skill PRIME technologies, and AI/Robotics for youths.

He urged the youths to adopt post-COVID-19 activities such as the Blended learning, Proctor based exams and Online Job interviews.

Shri Kelvin Ashem, KEN member and Software Engineer, shared several know-how knowledge on building a profile and the strategy to crack the Interview.

He also shared the possible kinds of future Jobs in IT Industries, Cutting Edge Technologies, service and product-based Companies etc.

He had highlighted the paradigm shift in the learning system and the interviewers' expectation from an IT graduate. During the Q&A session, the speakers suggest the best tips for preparing for a career in IT and giving Interviews.

NIELIT, Imphal facilitated the candidate to enable to join the event from a conference hall and also online from anywhere. 145 candidates attended the event.
