Taiwan's inductor vendors have clear order visibility for more than a quarter at the moment and are expected to see revenues increase in the second quarter, according to sources from the semiconductor industry.

Taiwan-based inductor specialist Chilisin currently has order visibility for more than four months and is experiencing strong demand from the automotive industry, Europe's industrial control sector and Wi-Fi 6/6E, said the sources.

Chilisin's subsidiary Bothhand and Ferroxcube have also recently raised the prices of transformers for network applications and magnetic components, the sources added.

Tai-Tech Advanced Electronics, which supplies products such as chip inductors, wirewound inductors, magnetic resin and networking transformers, also has order visibility for 3.5-4 months, and is currently running at full capacity, the sources said.

Tai-Tech is expected to maintain a high capex to meet demand from clients. The company reported consolidated revenues of NT$854 million (US$29.91 million) for the first two months of 2021, up 75.92% on year and will be listed on the over-the-counter market in the first half of the year.
