Bishnupur, March 17 2021: An eight-year boy from Torbung Govindpur Mamang Leikai in Bishnupur has gone missing since Monday (March 15).The missing boy, Laishram Abinash is the son of Laishram Anand and Laishram (O) Sophia.

Addressing media persons at the residence of the boy today, a meira paibi leader M Kumari Leima said that Abinash was seen playing with his 2 friends on that fateful day on the southern side of his home near a pond.

Later, when his mother went looking for him, he was nowhere to be found, she said adding that one of the kids apprised his mother that Abinash was taken away by one unidentified man donning a jacket.

Saying that the disappearance of Abinash is mysterious, M Kumari appealed to the State Government, State police, CSOs and the people of Manipur to extend support in searching for the missing boy.

Secretary of Torbung United Club, Ch Narendra Singh said that search has been carried out extensively in the locality including at the community pond by hiring an expert in recovering bodies, but to no avail.

It is reported that a missing report has also been lodged at the Moirang police station and the police have registered a case.
