In a lengthy Instagram post, Khanyi Mbau's ex-boyfriend, Tebogo 'Edward Billion' Lerole, shared fond memories of his relationship with the TV personality, saying: "I cherish and will always cherish the day the Creator tangled our paths. [sic]"
Khanyi and Tebogo dated for ten years and announced their break up in 2018, only to reconcile a few months later. Their attempt to salvage the relationship was shortlived.
Reports of Khanyi Mbau's relationship with Zimbabwean-born millionaire Kudzai Terrence Mushonga first surfaced in February 2021, following Khanyi and Tebogo's break up last year.
Posting a clip from a trip he took with Khanyi and her daughter, Tebogo wrote: "Up above is a clip I believed to be my/our own perfect/imperfect family and for once I believed this world would end with us standing by each other's sides. [sic]"
"I don't know how I lost the both of them, however I cherish and will always cherish the day the Creator tangled our paths, [sic]" he said.
He added: "I am grown enough to accept defeat. [sic]"
He went on to wish Khanyi well and "nothing but success on her journey," ending off the post saying: "Love is beautiful and we tried..."
