Belgian e-commerce drops 10% to EUR 10.3 billion on reduced travel, events

Belgian e-commerce fell by 10 percent in 2020 to EUR 10.26 billion, hurt by the drop in travel and fewer events during the Covid-19 crisis. At the same time, the number of transactions rose by 12 percent to 126.8 million as more smaller items such as food and clothing were purchased online. The figures were compiled by GfK for the industry group BeCommerce, PostNL and the national lottery.
