Piers Morgan's scathing attack on Meghan Markle following her interview with Oprah Winfrey last week has gotten the most complaints in British television history.
The former host cast doubts on the Duchess of Sussex's mental health claims and said the couple damaged the royal family and sought publicity on their own terms without accepting the responsibility and scrutiny that comes with the job.
Last week Ofcom - the UK's communications regulator - reported that 41 000 complaints were filed. Meghan too laid an official complaint with ITV, the broadcaster of Good Morning Britain.

On 17 March, the organisation revealed that since then, the number of complaints has increased to 57 121, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Deadline reports that a Big Brother episode in 2007, which garnered 44 500 complaints, previously held the record for the most complained moment on TV.
Since then, Piers left the breakfast show but maintained in a tweet: "I said I didn't believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview. I've had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don't."
