Cash for votes: FIR against former minister
The Dindigul district police have registered a case against former minister and AIADMK candidate for Natham assembly segment, Natham R Viswanathan, on charges of bribing voters, after a video showing him distributing cash to voters during his campaign in Mulaiyur village on Monday, went viral on social media.
Cash, precious metals worth Rs 127 crore seized in poll-bound state
The total cumulative seizures in Tamil Nadu were the highest amonst the other poll-bound states at Rs 127.64 crore. Tamil Nadu accounted for the highest cash seizures at Rs 50.86 crore (56% of total cash seizures).
I-T search at MNM treasurer’s assets
I-T sleuths on Wednesday conducted searches at MNM treasurer A Chandrasekaran’s properties in Tirupur. He is the chairman of Anitha Texcot (India) private limit.
