Akshay Kumar-Jacqueline Fernandes and Nushrratt Bharuccha have left for Ayodhya to begin shooting for their next, Ram Setu. The three of them were spotted at Mumbai's Kalina airport. Akshay Kumar opted for a black shirt and brown cargo pants. His clean-shaven look reminded us of Akshay from the 90s. On the other hand, Jacqueline Fernandes wore an ethnic suit. She looked extremely pretty. Nushrratt Bharuccha joined Jacky in ethnic look as well. While the Murder 2 actress wore a printed white suit, the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety starlet wore a long kurta that she paired with an embroidered jacket. They posed for the photogs who had reached the airport to get a glimpse of the trio. Earlier a source told Mumbai Mirror, "Set in today’s India, it’s the journey of the protagonist to discover if the Ram Setu is a myth or reality. Since Akshay and his director, Abhishek Sharma, want to present an accurate depiction, they want to shoot in real locations in the state, including Ayodhya, the birth place of Lord Ram. They want to kick off the film by mid-2021 in UP.” Recently, the Khiladi Kumar posted a picture, where he is having a script reading session along with producer Vikram Malhotra and creative producer Chandraprakash Dwivedi, director Abhishek Sharma and his leading ladies Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha.
Director Abhishek Sharma reveals that Akshay Kumar will be seen in a new avatar in Ram Setu. "Akshay sir plays an archaeologist and his look and character is inspired by several Indian and international professional archaeologists who work in the field. In terms of both look and character, Akshay sir’s fans are in for a totally new avatar of his," Sharma says.
