Etisalat AGM approves special dividend and 49% cap on foreign ownership

The Etisalat group's Annual General Meeting (AGM) has approved a record total dividend per share for the year 2020 of AED 1.20, inclusive of a AED 0.40 special dividend. Shareholders backed the recommendation to pay the FY dividend of AED 0.80 per share and to cancel the share buyback programme, and agreed instead to a one-time special dividend of AED 0.40 per share, bringing the total to AED 1.20. The AGM backed the recommendation to increase the non-UAE national share ownership limit to 49 percent.
