HTC narrows losses even as revenues fall to USD 1.6 bln in Q4

HTC said revenues for the fourth quarter reached TWD 1.6 billion, an increase from the previous quarter's 1.5 billion but still lower from the 1.8 billion recorded the year before. The operating loss however narrowed further to TWD 1.3 billion from a loss of 1.6 billion in Q3 and a loss of 2.2 billion the year earlier, while the gross margin improved sequentially and year-on-year to USD 27.9 percent from 27 percent and 25.7 percent, respectively. The net loss after tax also narrowed, to TWD 1.07 billion from the loss of 1.4 billion in Q3 and of 2.37 billion in 2019.
