New Delhi, Mar 18 (UNI) Congress Member Rajamani Patel on Thursday drew the Government's attention to the pitiful condition of pre and post matriculation OBC students, especially in Madhya Pradesh.
Raising the issue in the Rajya Sabha, Mr Patel said while there are no hostel facility for pre-matriculation OBC students, those for post matriculation students are in dilapidated state with extremely bad toilets, inadequate drinking water facilities.
He also said that terrible living conditions are a deterrent in these students getting better education and as a result, they are lagging behind.
The Congress leader urged the Government to extend additional funds for construction of new hostels for OBC students with proper facilities.
