BELAGAVI: The father of a woman, who allegedly figures in a CD related to the sex-for-jobs complaint against former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, on Tuesday lodged a complaint at Belagavi’s APMC police station saying his daughter has been kidnapped.
The ex-serviceman, who now works as a bank clerk, said in his complaint that his 25-year-old daughter was kidnapped before March 2. He alleged she was forced into appearing in the CD. Explaining why complaint has been delayed, he said he and his family who live in Belagavi city were scared for their life.
Woman’s family says video is fake
The woman’s father said the family members were scared for their life due to the alleged involvement of political leaders in the case.
“We were expecting that my daughter would come home soon. When she did not return and made a video giving a distress call, we felt a complaint needs to be filed,” he added.The father said his daughter is an engineer and works with a software company in Bengaluru.
He claimed that he contacted his daughter on the phone and she said the CD was fake. “My daughter told me that the image of her in the CD is fake and she is innocent,” he said.
