New Delhi [India], March 17 (ANI/SRV Media): Students of NIEM (NIEM The Institute of Event Management) stood out yet again by executing two beautiful shows even during the pandemic times, with all Covid protocols observed.
These two shows that were well-planned and brilliantly executed were College Idol and Mr. and Ms. University – Seasons 18 which took place at Nehru Hall, Pune.
An event with no audience did not take away the opportunity from the young artists to perform in the entertainment and glamour world. Sustainability, creativity and utmost learning under the guidance of Dr Hoshi Bhiwandiwalla, Pradnya Chaitanya and Tanishque Jaiswal were the key motives of both the shows. Special Thanks to Manish Rajpal, Pranay Gangwal, Gokul Menon, Nihal Saxena, Pinkle Mehta, Mayank Gulati, Kainaz Variava, Parth Salvi, Ankit Sharma, Divya Chabariya, Navin Chhejara and Anand Kamathe for honouring the event with their presence.
The College Idol was judged by Acash Shetty, Rutuja Junnarkar and Akshay Bhosale. Mr. and Ms. University was judged by Sandeep Dharma, Terence Anthony, Sona Goldkar, Jitesh Patil, Shwetaa Pardeshi and Chetan Agarwal.
After extensive analysis, Payal Taynath and Mayur Barve were declared as the winners of College Idol. Ritusha Zagade and Govinda Londe won the first runner-up, whereas Aishwarya Deshmukh and Anish Khater won the second runner-up.
Sairaj Barawkar and Jazzlynn Fernandes won the Mr. and Ms. University Titles respectively. Gautam Parmar and Nikita Girase won the first runner-up, whereas Sourabh Maloo and Yadnyee Nawathe won the second runner-up with Vidhi Vijayvergiya winning the Special Award.
Subcategory winners for MMU were Mr. Photogenic – Surya Singh, Ms. Photogenic – Srishty Verma, Ms. Smile – Aishwarya Iyer, Mr. Robust – Shubham Tingre, Ms. Ten – Aishwarya Anatha, Audience Choice – Faisal Habib and Shivani Waghmale.

Upasana Joseph, Shreyans Sanghvi and Swapnil Raste were felicitated for their continuous support for the event. MMU contestants were trained by the magical and extremely creative team of Terence Anthony, Sandeep Dharma, Chetan Agarwal and Jitesh Patil, who transformed ordinary aspiring young boys and girls into the most elegant contestants. This award was presented to him by respected Amruta Fadnavais and Dr Karna Upadhyay was awarded the Doctor of Event Management (Honorary) by the World’s Human Rights Protection Commission.
There were special performances by famous celebrities like Rutuja Junnarkar, Ayali Ghiya and Esha Ranna and Troops. Abhyangh Kuvalekar, Supriya Tamhane, Juily Suhas Tamhane, Mayur Pardeshi, Prashant Gaikwad, Nitu Bhandari and Monica George graced their presence at the event.
The show which was hosted by Hugo D’souza and Kashyata Bhatia was a grand success and received support from every corner of the city. The sleekness and the pace of the show have increased the expectations for the next season, leaving everyone asking for more.

Kota (Rajasthan) [India], March 17 (ANI/PNN): It looked like a placid track right from the beginning. Clearly, a lot depends on the toss. Narendra Sing Tomar, Kota Chambal Tigers skipper did not hesitate even once and decided to bat first on a track that looked like a batsmen heaven.
Kota openers provided a stupendous start of 77 runs to their team. This assisted the middle in order to go and express themselves freely. Kota Chambal Tigers scored a colossal score of 196 for 5 in their stipulated 20 overs. Shahbaz Khan in particular was in a murderous mood and scored 63 off 28 deliveries. The onslaught was laced with four boundaries and five towering sixes. He was ably supported by skipper Narendra Singh Tomar and Shiva Chauhan scaring 55 and 44 respectively.
The pursuit of winning the finals didn’t go well for Jaisalmer Jaguars as their batsmen failed to convert the small starts into big ones. They eventually surrendered for a mere 119 in 17 overs. Shubham was the top scorer for Jaisalmer Jaguars with 26 runs. For Kota Chambal Tigers Rajat Chaudhary, Shahbaz Khan and Deepak Dangi claimed two wickets each.
Kota Chambal Tigers stamped their authority over the coveted trophy for the second time.
The grand final was supervised by Mohd. Rafi and Anuj Rathore.

The rating upgrade factors in sustained healthy financial performance of Muthoot Finance along with scale-up in overall portfolio which is largely led by gold loans business.
The company’s gold loan book has more than doubled over the last five years to Rs 49,622 crore as in December 2020 and accounted for 90 per cent of its overall consolidated portfolio. The credit costs in gold loan business have been under control which uplifts consolidated earnings performance.
ICRA expects Muthoot Finance’s consolidated earnings performance to remain healthy.
Managing Director George Alexander Muthoot said: “With this rating upgrade from ICRA, Muthoot Finance has crossed a major milestone of AA-plus credit rating from two rating agencies, the earlier being from CRISIL. It is a recognition of its market leadership position in gold loan industry as well as strong financial position.”

New Delhi [India], March 17 (ANI): The government said on Wednesday it continues to procure Kharif crops at minimum support price (MSP) from farmers as was done in previous seasons.
Paddy procurement for Kharif 2020-21 is continuing smoothly in procuring states and Union Territories (UTs) of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Karnataka, West Bengal and Tripura.
These states purchased of over 680.68 LMTs of paddy till March 15, according to an official statement released by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
An increase of 13.98 per cent is seen against last year’s corresponding purchase of 597.18 LMT. Punjab alone has contributed 202.82 LMT out of the total purchase of 680.68 LMT, which is 29.79 per cent of total procurement.
About 99.88 lakh farmers have already been benefitted from the ongoing KMS procurement operations with MSP value of Rs 1.28 crore.
Based on proposal from states, approval was accorded for procurement of 106.62 LMT of pulse and oilseeds of KMS 2020-21 and Rabi marketing season 2021 for states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh under price support scheme (PSS).
Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala were given a sanction for procurement of 1.23 LMT of copra (perennial crop). For other states or UTs, approval will be accorded on receipt of proposals for the procurement of pulses, oilseeds and copra under PSS.
Procurement of FAQ grade of mentioned crops will be made at notified MSP for the year 2020-21 directly from registered farmers and if the market rate goes below MSP during notified harvesting period in respective states or UTs by central nodal agencies through state nominated procuring agencies.
The government through its nodal agencies procured about 3 lakh MT of moong, urad, tur, gram, groundnut pods and soya-bean till March 15, 2021, worth Rs 1,774 crore MSP benefitting around 1.9 lakh farmers in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan under Kharif 2020-21 and Rabi 2021 seasons.
Similarly, 2089 MT of copra worth Rs 52 crore MSP has been procured benefitting 3,961 farmers in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu till March 15, 2021. The respective state or UTs governments are making necessary arrangements for commencement of procurement from the date decided by respective states based on arrivals of pulses and oilseeds.
Procurement operations of seed cotton (kapas) under MSP scheme are going on smoothly in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Karnataka.
A quantity of around 91 lakh cotton bales worth Rs 27 crore has been procured till March 15 which benefit about 18.9 lakh farmers. (ANI)
