NEW DELHI: BJP MP from Himachal Ram Swaroop Sharma was found dead at his Delhi residence on Wednesday morning.
Police is suspecting suicide as the cause of death.
"Received a call on Wednesday morning from one of his staffer. He was found hanging in a room with the door closed from inside," Delhi police said.
The police recovered his body from his residence at Gomti Apartments and have started an investigation into the case.
Sharma was elected to Lok Sabha from the Mandi constituency in 2016 and 2019.
He was currently a member of the Standing Committee on External Affairs and the Consultative Committee, Ministry of External Affairs.
