A simple search on google would tell us that there are currently over 12,000 careers in the world. And while there are all sorts of jobs and professions out there, some mainstream and others niche and industry specific, not one of them must be looked down upon. From someone who drives an autorickshaw to someone who runs a corporate, every job profile deserves respect and when that is missing, you can often see people changing their entire field to go somewhere they are valued. Like this woman, who quit her job as a cop to become an adult movie star.
Charlotte Rose, a police officer in the UK, who was working diligently in the field up until the year 2014 found herself deeply saddened by the male dominated working environment in the department, which is when she decided to make a switch in her career and ended up working in the adult film industry. Who knew, an adult movie business promises a better working environment than a police department? And she left because of the misogyny.
She now earns in millions of dollars and also has a Lamborghini in her name, all through sharing racy photos and videos of herself online, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Talking about her journey that led her here, Rose shared, “I passed my qualifications but it became apparent very quickly that it wasn’t for me and the job was very male-dominated. I knew I could spend 10 years trying to get into the dog unit and it could never even happen, so I quit after one year when I was 20 years old.”
Rose, then having been guided by her friend to start posing next to glamorous cars for gigs, got into the line of modelling for lingerie brands. In 2016, Rose joined OnlyFans and with her consistent and gripping content everyday, she managed to build an impressive fan base for herself. Choosing to set a few boundaries for herself that would not make her feel uncomfortable, Rose decided on keeping her content ‘tame’ enough for users.

“Everyone assumes OnlyFans is just porn – which I have nothing against, but personally I don’t do that level of content. My page is very tame but it works because I’m niche – so many pages are hardcore but I won’t do that, I like my page to be different. I’ll roleplay and talk to the camera as if it’s a guy and cover some fantasies, but it’s mostly me talking to them. It’s personal for me and I’ve built up relationships with a handful of my fans that I talk to daily and know inside out.”
Guess, we never really know about a job unless we experience it ourselves. Who thought someone would eventually find working in the police flawed and biased and became a adult movie star but here we are. And more power to her.
