Patna, Mar 17 (UNI) Bihar Panchayati Raj Minister Samrat Chaudhari today apologised for his conduct and unsavoury remarks he had made on the floor oh the Lower House against the speaker of the state assembly Mr Vijay Kumar Sinha.
While apologizing Mr Chaudhary said that if the sentiment of Mr Sinha and the dignity of the chair was hurt he may be pardoned.
As the lower house assembled for the post-lunch session and the enlisted financial business were taken up by the speaker Mr Vijay Kumar Sinha, the CPI-ML member Mahboob Alam raised the issue of the conduct of the minister on the floor of the house during the pre-lunch session resulting into the disruption of question hour and other businesses.
Mr Mehboob Alam, who was joined by the members of opposition parties said that the Minister need to apologize for his conduct as it was a matter related to the dignity of the entire house and the members.
He said that following the minister's conduct the house had to be adjourned during the pre-lunch session and asked the government to clear the stand.
Later the parliamentary Affairs Minister Mr Vijay Kumar Choudhary admitted that the dignity and sentiment of the chair were hurt following the unexpected conduct of the Minister.
On behalf of the government, Mr Choudhary assured the chair, members and the house that such incident would not be repeated in future and maintained that the Minister concerned too was apologetic for his behaviour.
The parliamentary affairs minister on behalf of the government also apologized for the conduct of the Minister and requested the chair to allow the Minister concern to express his apology on the floor of the house. After this, the Panchayati Raj minister Samrat Chaudhari apologized for his conduct.
