No new Covid case reported in Arunachal

Itanagar, Mar 16 (UNI) No new Covid-19 case was reported in Arunachal Pradesh in the last five days, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.

On the other hand, two more patients were discharged following their recovery from the virus in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 16,783. The recovery rate is 99.64 per cent.

With this, the active case declined to one which is from Changlang.

The state has recorded 16,840 Covid cases so far. Death toll at 56.

CM Biren hands over Rs 5 lakhs to kin of jawan who died in LOC

Imphal, Mar 16 (UNI): N. Biren Singh handed over a cheque of Rs. 5
lakh under ‘Major Laishram Jyotin Singh Ex-Gratia Scheme’ to the
family of Sub-Inspector (GD) Paotinsat Guite of 59th Battalion BSF,
who died due to bullet injuries during exchange of fire with
terrorists at line of control (LOC) under Rajouri Sector in Jammu and
Kashmir on December 1 last year. He hailed from Maphou Kuki in
Kangpokpi District.
