Gujarat govt to impose night curfew in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot

Ahmedabad, Mar 16 (UNI) The Gujarat Government on Tuesday decided to impose night curfew in four major cities - Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot - with effect from March 17 till March 31 in view of the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the state.

"The state government has decided to impose curfew from 2200 hrs to 0600 hrs in view of the increasing cases of coronavirus," Chief Minister office, Gujarat posted on official twitter handle. The restrictions will be in place till March 31, it added.

Gujarat on Monday recorded 890 new cases of COVID-19, pushing the infection tally to 2,79,097.
