Mahindra’s second-generation XUV500 is a much-awaited vehicle in the Indian market. Since the testing of the new XUV500 is happening for a long time across India, many spy pictures have given us a peek inside the cabin of the car and also how it will look from the outside. Well, a new set of spy pictures show the production-ready cabin of the all-new XUV500 and it sure looks premium.

The picture posted online gives us a clear view of the cabin of the all-new XUV500. While earlier spy pictures gave us a view of the dashboard and the double screen set-up of the all-new XUV500, the new pictures reveal more details. The dual-screen looks like a single unit and much like the new-age Mercedes-Benz cars, especially the EQC. The dual-screen set-up works as an instrument cluster for the driver while the second screen works as an infotainment system. The XUV500 is the first car from Mahindra to get such a set-up. We are not sure if the screens are dependent on each other or work as individual screens.

The picture also shows how the cabin has become much more luxurious. The vehicle gets a dual-tone dashboard with black on the top and lighter colour on the bottom. The light coloured material seems to be leather or faux leather and it also gets double stitching that definitely makes it look upmarket. There are AC vents positioned below the middle screen and the rotary knobs are located just below that.

The all-new XUV500 also gets a new steering wheel with multifunction buttons. The central console also looks quite busy with a rotary dial and space for a cup. Even the upholstery on the seats and the armrest get double stitches.

Will get petrol and diesel engines

The all-new Mahindra XUV500 will offer both petrol and diesel engine options like the all-new Thar. The diesel variants will get powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and the diesel variants will get the 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine. Both the engine options will offer a manual as well as automatic transmission options.

The all-new Mahindra XUV500 will also be sold under Ford India’s banner. However, Ford will make quite a few changes to ensure that its product carries the Ford DNA and looks very different from the Mahindra XUV500. Nonetheless, both the vehicles will come powered by the same engine options and will also get similar transmission options too.

The leg space in the third row seems to be more than the current one as the XUV500 has become larger in size. However, the seats seem to be good enough for children only. The boot space looks massive with the seats folded down. The handbrake looks like that it has the same design as the current one but it has straightened up. The IRVM is manual and is not auto-dimming. However, in the production model, we may get to see an auto-dim mirror. The front seats are electrically adjustable, which has also become a common feature in the segment and the rivals like MG Hector and the top-end version of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos also offer the same.
