Talking to Spotboye, the Jodha Akbar actress had said, “He didn’t get the Bajirao for me. He wanted me to do Padmaavat, but could not get the Khilji for me, at the casting time. So, that’s how it didn’t happen. So, at the end of the day, you need to see the casting. If the casting is not happening, then sometimes, it doesn’t come together. The intention is always there to work together, but it didn’t happen. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is currently busy with Mani Ratnam's ambitious project Ponniyin Selvan. The mega-budget film also stars Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Trisha, Vikram Prabhu and Sarath Kumar in key roles. Reports suggest that Karthi plays Vallavaraiyan Vandiyadevan and Ravi portrays the character of Arulmozhi Varman in this venture. Talking about the film, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan earlier told us, "I’ve just read the very detailed script and I’m curious too because when you read it, it’s a movie in your head. Now, I want to discover what’s the movie in his head. At this point, we are discussing it. My joining the team will be in the end of December or January. So, I’m looking forward to it."
