By-election in Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly constituency on Apr 17

Hyderabad, Mar 16 (UNI) The Election Commission of India has issued the schedule for the by-elections in two Lok Sabha and 14 Assembly constituencies including Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly constituencies in Telangana.

As per the schedule, the bypoll in Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly besides Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency located in the other Telugu state of Andhra Pradesh will be held on April 17.

The notification for the bypoll will be issued on March 23 and the filing of nominations will start on the same day. The last day for filing nominations is March 30 ,the scrutiny will take place on March 31 and the last day for withdrawal of nominations is April 3.

The counting of votes will be taken up on May two.

The bypoll in Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly constituency was necessitated following the death of Nomula Narasimhaiah of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
