Mamata Banerjee led Bengal govt has not done anything for farmers and adivasis : Nadda

Kotulpur (Bankura), Mar 16 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president J P Nadda on Tuesday said Mamata Banerjee led state government has not done anything for farmers and Adivasis.

Addressing a public meeting here, Mr Nadda said, “After practising politics of appeasement for years, Ms Banerjee is now doing Chandi Path.

Regarding inclusion of left out Hindu castes in the OBC (Mahisya, Teli etc) list in Bengal, Mr Nadda said the BJP government will constitute a commission and recommend their inclusion.

The BJP president said Mamata Banerjee called Batla House encounter fake; she should apologise after court gives death penalty to convict.

Mr Nadda said BJP had decided to start two 'Ambedkar yatras' from Kotulpur and Kakdwip... I had inaugurated the yatra from Kotulpur but the yatra that was scheduled to start from Kakdwip was vandalised by TMC.

“During the stone laying ceremony of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, you stopped people from offering puja in the state," the BJP president alleged.

He said Ms Banerjee had won elections in the name of 'Ma, Mati, Manush' (Mother, Land and People), however, during the last decade, her party has engaged in "torturing women, killing BJP workers, dictatorship, extortion and politics of appeasement".

Earlier in a public meeting at Bishnupur, Mr Nadda said the wave is blowing in favour of the BJP.

Mr Nadda said people have decided to bring an end to Mamata Banerjee's extortion, cut-money, and corruption.

The BJP president said the Tranamool Congress (TMC) is a party of 'tolabazi' and added that its 'true face was out'.

"TMC indulged in tolabazi, cut-money ... TMC's true face is out ... TMC doing appeasement politics," Mr Nadda said

He said the BJP is a disciplined and democratic party.

Mr Nadda also responded to Ms Banerjee's allegations of the alleged 'attack' on her being orchestrated by the saffron party saying, "Whatever is in her mind, she speaks. But for 5 years she kept the citizens of Bengal in fear. The people are now ready to answer on May 2."

Shouting the slogans of Jai Shri Ram, "Narendra Modi Zindabad" and "J P Nadda Zindabad", BJP workers gathered in large numbers to participate in Mr Nadda's roadshow

The roadshow started at about 2.10 pm from Kumari Talkies cinema hall and culminated at the Bishnupur bus stand.
