South African prop Dylan Smith has joined Stade Francais as medical joker until the end of the Top 14 season, the Top 14 club announced on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old, who played in two Super 15 finals and won a Currie Cup title in 2015, quit the Johannesburg-based Lions franchise on Monday.
Stade Francais said in a statement that Smith "comes to strengthen the pack". He is allowed to join because of the absence of Quentin Bethune who has been out of action since January.
