Corona infection is spreading rapidly in the country once again. The increase in Kovid-19 infection in Maharashtra, the worst-affected state of Corona, continues. According to the data recorded in the previous week (March 8-March 14), only 61 percent of the reported cases of infection were reported in Maharashtra in all states of the country. However, apart from Maharashtra, 10 other states/union territories also reported an increase in infection cases last week, marking the second wave of corona within the country.
On Monday, 26,291 new corona patients appeared
Meanwhile, a record 26,291 new patients were found on Monday and 118 people have died due to the epidemic. This figure is the highest in this year. A day earlier, a record of getting 25 thousand infected was made.
Due to the holiday on Sunday, only seven lakh samples were tested, whereas, on a normal day, 7-7.50 lakh samples were found to have fewer patients. According to the Union Health Ministry, 25,320 patients were also discharged on Sunday. The total number of infected people in the country has exceeded 1.13 crore, out of which 1,58,725 people have died.
At the same time, 1.10 crore patients have been cured. The total number of active cases in the country has now increased to 2,19,262. According to the ministry, cases are increasing rapidly in Maharashtra, Punjab, Kerala, Delhi, Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh. Including Maharashtra, Kerala, and Punjab, 77 percent are active patients. Maharashtra alone accounts for 58 percent of active patients.
