The candidates who have attempted the paper reviewed it as moderate, with few questions being tricky and difficult to attempt.
PAPER ANALYSIS | JEE Main March Exam Day 1
JEE Main is being held in two sessions– morning (9 am- 12 noon) and afternoon (3-6) pm. A slight change in the paper has been introduced considering the Covid-19 situations. The candidates have to attempt 75 questions out of 90 or 25 out of 30 questions in each section of chemistry, physics and mathematics.

A total of 6.19 lakh (6,19,638) students have registered for the March session. A total of 4,28,888 male candidates and 1,90,748 females have applied for this session, according to NTA.
The exams are being conducted in 334 cities including 12 cities outside India in Baharain, Colombo, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, and Kuwait.

The afternoon shift was a little difficult. Most of the questions were either directly taken from NCERT or were closely based on NCERT concepts.
"We feel that covering the NCERT syllabus and its examples will keep students in good position, particularly in physics and chemistry. Chapters like system of particles and rotational motion, current electricity, electrical potential and capacitance, ray optics are significant in physics," said Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Engineering), Aakash Educational Services Limited.
The candidates reviewed maths difficult in the afternoon session, while chemistry, physics were analysed as easy. The numerical section in maths has lengthy calculations.
The questions covered chapters of classes 11, 12, NCERT curriculum.
Khusboo Jain, a JEE Main aspirant said, “In maths, the numerical based questions are quite lengthy, overall the section is quite difficult. There were no difficult questions in chemistry, while physics has some tough questions.”
The experts reviewed the difficulty level of maths portion on a higher side in the forenoon session. Ramesh Batlish, head, FIITJEE Noida said, “On the basis of feedback received from candidates, the difficulty level of maths was higher than that of the February session. Overall it is a balanced paper, chapters from both classes 11, 12.”
The candidates attempted the JEE Main paper in morning session found maths moderately difficult. As shared by FIITJEE, the candidates reviewed the difficulty level of maths slightly higher than that of the February session.
The questions in maths were from chapters of binomial theorem, complex numbers, quadratic equations,
matrices and determinants. There were few questions from trigonometry, vector and 3D
geometry.
The candidates attempted the paper in the morning session today reviewed it as balanced. While, the marhs was reviewed moderately difficult, the questions in chemistry, physics appeared to be easy.
The morning session of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main March has been concluded. The engineering entrance exam is being held from 9 am to 12 noon. A total of 6.19 lakh (6,19,638) students have registered for the March session, according to NTA.
