Google to lower planned commission for app developers in South Korea

Google is planning to lower the planned commission it takes from app developers in South Korea, Yonhap News reported. The change should take place in July. The company said it will charge a 15 percent rate on in-app purchases to all developers for annual sales of up to USD 1 million, and a 30 percent rate for higher than USD 1 million. A company official said 99 percent of developers makes under USD 1 million in annual revenues on the Play store.
