A man in Bengaluru who had forgotten both his phone and wallet in an OLA auto, got it back after the auto driver returned the belongings to him. Further, when the person tried to offer him a reward for honesty, he refused to accept.
The incident happened with a person named Susanta Sahoo in Bhubaneswar and the auto driver who is now the internet’s latest hero has been identified as Jagannatha Patra. Sharing the entire series of events on Twitter, Susanta lauded the auto driver for his honesty and also shared his UPI details so that more people could show their appreciation for his honesty by donating money to him. He also revealed that he has rewarded him via Google Pay.
In his tweet, he has also mentioned that Jagannatha is extremely overwhelmed by the love and appreciation he has got. He also went on to mention that the honest auto rider has humbly expressed his gratitude towards those who have sent him money. A part of Susanta’s tweet describing Jagannatha’s reaction read, “He’s pretty excited about it and so are his friends in the auto-rickshaw community. Also, he requested me to profusely thank everyone who has rewarded him financially!”

This gesture by the rider also got OLA’s attention, who asked Susanta for his booking ID so that they could share all the love and appreciation with him.

As expected, Jagannatha has now become a role model in honesty for many. Some users have lauded his sincerity while a bunch of them have commented on his kind gesture. A person who was appreciative of the rider’s act, in a part of his tweet said, “Driver’s good work should be highly appreciated with some rewards.”
