MNS gives ultimatum to MSEDCL

Thane, Mar 15 (UNI) The MNS leaders from Kalyan have on Monday given an ultimatum to the MSEDCL officials to forthwith stop the disconnection of power to the consumers else warned that their office would be torched by the MNS activists.

The MNS activists on Monday took out a protest morcha to the office of the MSEDCL at Kalyan East to protest the abrupt disconnection of power by the power supplier for the exorbitant bills.

They submitted a memorandum to them listing their problems and asking them to desist from disconnection of power which goes on unabated despite the ministers assurance.

Later they also switched of the fan and light switches to give a feel of what it would be like without a power to the common consumer.

Also they presented Candles to the officials in the office with a request to stop the disconnections of power.

Later they warned that if they fail to respond to their request then they would with the same candles burn the MSEDCL office the leaders of the MNS said.

The Vice President of the MNS Kalyan East unit Yogesh Gavhane who lead the protesters said that the MSEDCL has been harassing the consumers to the core and disconnecting the power thus putting the consumers to untold hardships. The bills sent by them are exorbitant which the consumer can never afford to pay.

Hence the MNS and the consumers took out a morcha and warned the officials he said and added that they have been warned that the office would be torched if the drive to cut power is not not stopped he said.
