The Greek government has prepared an anti-Covid plan in order to project Greece as a top tourist choice as of May. Among other things, precedence will be given to the vaccination of about 800,000 workers in the tourism industry and strict testing of visitors at all entry points.
The plan involves tourism workers and island residents to be next in line for vaccination after the susceptible groups.
Specific announcements will not be long in coming, with the tourist season to start on April 15 for Israel and the rest of the European Union, with the final opening for the rest of the world on May 14, along with the reopening of cruises and yachting.
