Senate Democrats voted to advance the current stimulus bill, which will now travel to the desk of President Biden for further approval.
A wide set of measures have been added to the $1.9 trillion legislation – the American Rescue Plan Act, that encompasses vaccine distribution funds, stimulus checks to child tax credits, utilities for jobless, healthcare subsidies and restaurant succor. Since the beginning of coronavirus pandemic, this would be the largest aid package that will eventually benefit who lost their jobs in 2020.
