Maharashtra: Covid-19 cases in Kalyan-Dombivli touch 70,000 mark

KALYAN: The number of Covid-19 cases touched 70,000 in Kalyan-Dombivli area of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) on Sunday.
After Mumbai, its the second-worst affected area in the region. The twin city reported more than 400 positive cases for the third consecutive day. The deaths were also reported. At present 3,040 active patients are undergoing treatment in the region.
In the wake of rising cases, Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Commissioner Dr Vijay Suryawanshi has put several restrictions in the city. The timings for shops to open has ben restricted to 7pm except shops selling essential items.
