American filmmaker James Gunn is floored by a single shot video filmed using a drone camera and once you see it, you would be too. Taking to Twitter, the 54-year-old director of Guardians of the Galaxy shared a video on Tuesday that visualised a bowling alley and a pub in an unprecedented manner. Flying past from the sky and swooshing into the Bryant-Lake Bowl and Theater in Minneapolis, USA, the drone gives a wholesome tour of the locations and makes the viewer feel as if they are in on an adventurous ride.
Oh my God this drone shot is stupendous. pic.twitter.com/bUcfRtq70O— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) March 9, 2021
James was absolutely impressed by the video and shared it on his Twitter handle as he wrote, “Oh my God this drone shot is stupendous.” The drone camera was piloted by Jay Christensen and directed by Anthony Jaska. The video is produced by Rally Studio.
Over 2.5 million people have watched the video on twitter shared by James. In the following tweet, he also mentioned that he wants the makers of this video to come with his team to London later this year when they shoot Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3.

Netizens are applauding the video while some are even mentioning their favourite shots. One user commented that the video is a thing of beauty and when the camera flies behind the pins through the tiny gap, it reminded them of Han escaping the Space Slug in the Millennium Falcon. The user commended cinematographer’s skills for this one.
While some have expressed their desire to watch the video in Virtual Reality but they also know that all the intense motion involved in the video might just leave them with motion sickness.

I wanna experience this in VR but I know it’d kill me with the motion— Conor Robert Purvis (@conorpurvis) March 10, 2021
My jaw literally just hit the damn floor.— Vertex (@BurtonPixels) March 10, 2021
One comment readthat their jaw dropped when the drone camera went to the back of the lanes, and it stayed on the ground the rest of the time.

Another appreciative comment read that it is “mental” and making such a video requires so much skill and add to that the fact that they had to get the actors to hit cue marks as well.
