Of course... you just often see "dieters" selectively doing things (diet soda, skim milk in coffee, salad, etc.) while not paying attention to the rest of their diet or what's in/on their salad.
well yes to order diet soda to offset thousands of calories but just drinking diet soda won’t. Like if the only change in my diet was adding a liter of diet soda a day I would not gain weight

Agreed. Although some girl I know who drank tons of diet soda stopped drinking it abruptly because she said she found out the stuff in it supposedly will kill you. :P

well if diet soda is what takes me out so be it lol as long as on my gravestone it says “Snail: 0, Fresca: 1”
This is somewhat true, but because of human behavior. People every day for lunch order a big burger with fries, three slices of pizza, a big bowl of pasta, etc. ... and a Diet Coke.
As if diet soda offsets the daily lunch choice (for someone looking to lose weight).
That's human behavior making you fat and not the diet soda. I love a Diet coke after lunch. Something sweet with some caffeine= winning
