In the summer I was around 120-130 pounds now I’ve got that to around 150-160, I am 6 foot, and my main goal is to start getting shredded and have my abs appear. Since they can’t appear now I thought it’d be a good to lose weight so they can. I also have stretch marks from weight gain and a bigger face so now I see all the benefits of cutting. Thoughts will be appreciated

Can't say without details like a pic and your age. This is the teen section and it's generally not recommended to restrict calories except in extreme situations here. At 160, 6' tall, it's hard to imagine you're carrying too much fat.
I can tell time. Time cannot tell me.

For most beginner lifters I suggest they cut bodyfat low enough where they can start seeing their abs, while doing their best to gain strength while on a proper program. Muscle and strength gains are definitely possible while cutting especially as a beginner as long as you are progressing.
Then start eating at a very conservative surplus (around 200-250 above maintenance daily), while progressing on your compound movements & isolations (former more important than latter). This should keep you very motivated to keep going as you will have low enough bodyfat to see the gains you are making, while also focusing on strength gains. When you get too fat consider a mini cut, rinse and repeat.23 years old. Natural athlete & Model from the Philippines.
