Mahindra Thar is probably the most popular vehicle that was launched in recent times. It is currently the most affordable 4×4 one can buy in the country. New Mahindra Thar got an overwhelming response from the buyers and the demand is so high that, it is already sold out till May 2021. The manufacturer has announced that they have ramped up production to meet the demand and keep buyers happy. Thar also happens to be one of those vehicles which is suitable for modifications. You’ll hardly find any Mahindra Thar be it old or the new generation without at least one modification. Bimbra 4×4 which is a well known name among SUV modifiers has now modified a Mahindra Thar that is all set for an all-India road trip.

The video has been uploaded by Bunny Punia on his YouTube channel. The video calls this, the most practically modified Mahindra Thar in the country. The Thar belongs to xBhp.com and this Thar is going to be their companion in the upcoming tour. Starting with the front, this Thar gets an aftermarket front bumper with couple of shackles on it. The bumper actually developed by Bimbra 4×4 and is not made from metal. These are made from fiber reinforced plastic and do not affect the functioning on Airbag sensors.

The fog lamps are also integrated with the front bumper. The front grille has not been modified but, it gets a deflector on the bonnet which gives it an aggressive look. The headlamps have been replaced too. The stock ones have been replaced with aftermarket projector type lamps with dual function LED DRL ring around it. On to the right side of the car, a snorkel can also be seen. No major modifications have been done to the tyre or alloy wheel. Only modification seen here is a 30 mm spacer which pushes the wheel outside slightly.

The cladding on the wheel arches were installed as an accessory from Mahindra. This is a hardtop version but, certain modifications have been here as well. Just like the front bumper which gets line-X coating, the hardtop also gets it. On the inside, the hardtop gets liners for better insulation inside the cabin. Other modifications that it gets is a foldable metal tray where one can easily place a laptop and work or even act as a tray to place food.

There is a metal ladder which is connected the chassis of the car. Using the ladder one can access the lockable roof racks, jerry cans that are placed on the roof. On the other side of the car, there is a metal frame inside which a metal jerry can is also placed. The lockable roof mounted cabinets on this Thar will come in handy during the tour as Thar is not a great vehicle when it comes to boot space. These are the major modifications that are done to the Thar.

On the inside, it gets almost stock interiors with armrest, and foldable laptop table for rear passengers as aftermarket accessories. The Thar with all these modifications does look neat and looks quite practical too. Thar is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. Both engine options get manual and AT options and the one seen in the video is a petrol automatic.
