As it is done elsewhere in the country, the National Science Day 2021 is observed on the 28th February 2021 in commemoration with the scientific discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C V Raman on 28 February 1928 for which he was awarded Nobel Prize in 1930 which made him the first Indian Scientist to win the Nobel Prize in Science.

The day observed on the theme Future of STI: Impacts on Education, Skills and Work was organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Lilong Haoreibi College in association with the All Manipur Muslims (Meitei Pangal) Welfare Association (AMPWA) an apex body of the Muslims in Manipur.

Giving his key note address, the Principal of the College Dr. Raheijuddin Sheikh emphasized the objectives for holding the observance at Lilong Haoreibi College stating that the decision was taken jointly with AMPWA on considering the dire need of creating scientific curiosity and temperament amongst the of the minority Muslim students.
