With the prevailing Covid-19 In the pandemic situation, BCCI selected only six places to manage the cash-rich league and left Hyderabad off the list. The city is also home to Sunrisers Hyderabad.

He, Vickayanand, secretary of the Hyderabad Cricket Association, said: “HCA fraternity and cricket fans are disappointed. Former HCA secretary Shesh Narayan blamed the association’s infighting and corruption in the association for BCCI’s treatment. ‘This is disappointing because the HCA is not succeeding in implementing the constitution approved by the Supreme Court. They do not have a CEO, CFO and Chief Operating Officer. The chosen people are fighting among themselves and the mess in the team selection for the Vijay Hazare tournament has undermined the association’s credibility. The BCCI took this seriously. That is why they did not consider Hyderabad a place, ”he said.
