HYDERABAD: Continuing with his trenchant attack on the Centre, TRS working president KT Rama Rao said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Rs 20 lakh crore ‘Atmanirbhar’ package was hollow as nobody got the money in their accounts.
Taking potshots at the PM, KTR said Modi talks about crores, but, in reality, its worth ‘pakodi’ (Baat karadon mein, kaam pakodo mein). Addressing TRS student wing members at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday, KTR said: “When we talk about employment generation, Modi talks about pakodi. He claims if anybody sells a pakodi, it is because of him. The TRS government has come out with a list of jobs provided to unemployed youth with facts and figures.”
Saying that the Centre has been unjust to the state, he said: “The Centre has been showing an empty hand to Telangana in every sector. Is Telangana not part of this country?”
He said some leaders are making uncharitable comments and abusing CM K Chandrasekhar Rao. “It is a strategic silence. We will give a befitting reply to those who are resorting to these abuses,” KTR said. “KCR is like a weapon hanging on the wall, it will act when time comes.”
Explaining how TRS was formed and how KCR fought for a separate Telangana, KTR said the party would complete two decades this April 27. “KCR fought with Chandrababu (Naidu) on one side and Congress on the other. KCR did not have either muscle power or money power. But, with commitment and hard work, he emerged as a powerhouse and gives jitters to former CMs,” KTR said.
Targeting the BJP, he said: “The BJP knows only to play communal card or Indo-Pakistan issues to divert the attention of the people on major issues.”
