Mumbai city continued to report new COVID-19 cases above the 1000 mark on Friday. With 1,173 new cases and three deaths, the case-load currently stands at 3,31,016 total cases recorded till date and 11,490 fatalities. The active cases have also increased to 10,469. The average doubling rate has come down to 241 days. There are 15 containment zones in slums and chawls, while 188 buildings have been sealed because of the presence of active patients. Also, police recovered the body of a Thane-based businessman whose stolen SUV was found parked near Mukesh Ambani's Antilia. It is important to know if Mansukh Hiren was killed, says Sena MP Sanjay Raut
Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Saturday morning said it is important to know whether Mansukh Hiren, whose body was fished out of the Thane Creek marshes, was killed or he died by suicide. He said a thorough investigation should be done so that the facts can come out and the culprits can be punished. When asked that the Opposition BJP in Maharashtra has demanded a probe by the CBI, he said the Maharashtra ATS is investigating the Mukesh Ambani threat case and NIA probe is not needed.
TV actress alleges rape, FIR filed

13 private hospitals join the drive, can vaccinate 8,000 people a day at the most
