The organisation says that an ordinary person’s rights in India are being violated and fundamental freedoms are being snatched away. Freedom House, which released this index, is a research organisation based in the US that publishes the ‘Freedom in The World’ reports. In this report, the level of political freedom and civil rights in different countries of the world is reviewed.
