Andritz, an Austria-based international technology group, has reported 0.4 per cent revenue growth to €6,774.0 million in its complete fiscal 2020 ended on December 31, 2020 compared to sales of €6,673.9 million in the previous fiscal. However, company’s order intake during the year fell 16.1 per cent to €6,108.0 million (FY19: €7,282.0 million).

Due to the enormous flexibility and huge commitment of our employees worldwide, we succeeded in managing the economic challenges of this crisis for ourselves and for our customers well,” Wolfgang Leitner, president and CEO of Andritz, said in a press release.
EBITDA for the fiscal dropped marginally to €571.1 million (€537.6 million). Whereas, net income rose to €203.7 million (€122.8 million).
Sales of pulp & paper segment jumped 16 per cent during FY20 to €3,339.0 million (€2,869.5 million) due to large orders in the capital business received in the past quarters. On the other hand, Metals sales slipped 13.0 per cent to €1,420.5 million (€1,636.9 million).
“We do not expect any major change in the overall economic conditions during most of the current year, and only expect a slight recovery in the markets we serve. So, we will continue our measures to ensure our long-term competitiveness, but also at the same time focus on investments to secure organic and external growth and on innovations,” Leitner said.
